Aims to support the development of athletes, increase competitiveness in sports that display Botswana on the international stage. It also steers programmes that promote mass participation in sport as a form of recreation and health promotion. Finally, the Ministry serves as a curator of arts and culture for Botswana; from cultural practices, heritage site, support of local artisans and access to cultural and historic information.
